We praise Thee for the character and life of our deceased brother; for the integrity and upright ness which marked his public career; for his gen tle and friendly, yet manly spirit as he mingled with his fellow Senators; for his domestic virtues and habits which made bright and happy his home; for the noble and generous nature which prompted to words of sympathy and deeds of kind ness -vlu~rever want or distress was found among his fellow men.
And now, that he has been taken hence, we pray that his mantle mav rest on.
